Why Sports Therapy? |
When trying to find the right therapist it can be overwhelming to work out which type of therapy is right for you. Unfortunately a common practice across many types of therapy, is treatment of just the pain alone. This is important but where this becomes problematic is that if the pain is caused by a movement dysfunction or postural abnormality the pain will most likely return if the underlying cause is not addressed. What is special about sports therapists is whilst they are soft tissue specialists they don't just stop at treating the pain alone. Restoration of movement and improving postural function can be achieved through the use of exercise done secondary to hands on treatment. This method leads to lasting improvements and is an invaluable difference to most soft tissue therapists.

Our History |
In 2009 Frank started in the health industry as a strength and conditioning coach. Early on in his career he noticed the gap between health practitioners and fitness professionals. The problem being most therapists had poor exercise and training progression knowledge and coaches had poor understanding of injury prevention and tissue healing. This would become an issue when an individual tried to return to training from an injury. Due to this, Frank returned to tertiary education with a goal of filling this gap, whilst still working in the field. Frank would go on to complete a series of courses on the application of remedial therapy and corrective exercise combined with working at two different clinics including one of Melbourne's leading Osteopathy centres and three elite sport clubs in the AFL and NRL. In 2014 Frank opened his own facility in Hawthorn East, working with a range of clientele varying from individuals who had never exercised before to advanced athletes.
In 2019 Frank Moved around the corner to open his premeir training facility where his treatment space now runs. |
